Love this place, though the name of this place got me laughing. There's just something with Rowland Heights that you can't get elsewhere. In the plaza alone, there was so many different Asian food you want to try. This place was appealing because of the fresh knife cut noodles. To start it off, if you are introverted, this place is for you. You order everything through the QR code on your table and the servers will get the food to you. Definitely recommend their noodles. We just love knife cut noodles so we opted for those instead of the potato ones. Tomato flavor was a good choice. The noodles were really fresh and perfectly chewy. We would also recommend the chicken appetizer. Overall, very authentic and delicious. Even though these plazas pretty much are all hole in a wall, the restaurant was really clean and well maintained. This place should be more recognized. Luckily I did know Chinese, but I'm not sure about their English. They all just spoke Chinese to me HAHA
I ordered the slightly spicy potato powder + knife noodles and it was indeed a perfect slightly spicy flavor! I'm so glad they have this option for people who enjoy spice but can't handle something too spicy! It was cool to be able to enjoy both noodles in one dish, as that's something you can't find at many places. Both noodles were really good, very good textures, very QQ. The only thing I wish was better balanced was the ratio of noodles to vegetables/ protein. I felt like the majority of the time I was just noodles which got a little tiring after a while. You also get a free drink with your order which is really nice of them!
Solid place off of Gale. I ordered the spicy and numbing noodles with both types of noodles (knife and potato). Next time I might try another broth base to switch it up. Since the photos on Yelp looked good, I decided to try the crispy tofu with enoki mushroom skewer. Would definitely recommend that since it was unique and had the right amount of crisp and sauce. I also decided to indulge and get the QQ chicken. It was definitely chewy and was a bit of a chore to pick out the bones. I would probably skip on it and try other skewers next time. If you order anything here you also get a choice of soda or bottled water. I ended up paying around $25 for all the food and 18%. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for some spicy food.
This place is delicious! You order off your phone using a QR code. Free complimentary drink when you order a bowl!
Delicious food for spice lovers! This facility allows for contactless ordering through a QR code. Skewers and soup noodles are available here with the choice of either knife cut or potato noodles. My friends and I opted for Spicy Mala, Slightly Spicy Mala, Seafood, and all their skewers. Skewers were flavorful, except that the spicy tofu skin skewer was slightly too sweet. Service was amazing and quick. Definitely will recommend to anyone wanting some spicy noodles, will be coming back!
I met a friend at this location. I am a newbie to this spot. So, wasn't sure what to expect since . Small good sized space, clean (which is import!) designed cute. You get your menu on the table where you find the QR code. The food came out quickly. Each appetizer was so yummy and when the soup came. All the flavors were perfect! Oh wait, for every order you receive a FREE drink! Who does that these days? Coodles to management for thinking of that. It is a great touch that will keep people coming. It's those little things. If you are in the City of Industry area . Or even just willing to drive out to a hidden gem . It is a must try !
Just had to go here for the name alone since it was intriguing, and you can never go wrong with a delicious bowl of noodles. And this place is just that! They currently have a deal where each order of noodles comes with a free drink, so my friend and I split a can of Wang LAO Ji Herbal Tea. All orders are via Chowbus through scanning the QR code on the table. Everything we had was sauced and seasoned perfectly so we didn't have to use any of the condiments available on the table. The nature of these dishes are based with chili oil/oils in general so just be aware if you're anti-oily foods or are on a restricted diet. My friend and I shared: 1) The Slightly Spicy Noodles: -You have the option of choosing either their potato powder noodles, knife noodles, or both, so obviously we chose the best of both worlds! -Abundant number of noodles, nice chewy texture that absorbs the flavor of the broth very nicely. Delicious as simple as that! -The soup base is pork bone and chicken and the soup also came with 2 boiled quail eggs that are steeped in sauce (similar to the broth/sauce that braised meat goes in), sliced oyster mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms, some seaweed strips, baby bok choy, pork meat bits, and shredded dried tofu. For seasoning, it was topped with coriander, sesame seeds, and sesame oil. -Presentation was really cute in the small pot on a frying pan and the dish really made their noodles shine! 2) Dried Tossed Gluten: -This is some kind of spongey tofu marinated in chili oil and flakes, cilantro, sesame seeds. -Not really dried since it absorbed the oil, but this might be a lost in translation thing. It's a cold appetizer dish. -It's alright, we got this out of curiosity, but we might opt for skewers next time. Would love to come back here again for those noodles and to try out their beef or tomato soup noodles!
Yes! A new place to add to my list of comfort food locations. They open at 10am and I was the only customer at 11am. Plenty parking available in the plaza! Waitress was super sweet. Interior is very spacious and clean. You can order by scanning the QR Code on the table. I ordered the not spicy option, with potato and knife cut noodles. It included fish cake, dried tofu skin, seaweed, bokchoy, mushrooms, quail eggs, bits of meat. I added an order of sausage skewer and an order of tofu wrapped enoki skewer. Every soup order comes with a free drink that you can grab from the fridge. They have a pretty good selection of beverages! I found the no spicy option to be not very exciting so I added chili oil and wow the taste was amazing! The noodles were very qq and chewy and the ingredients were delicious. The drink was sweet and refreshing! I really enjoyed the two skewers, especially the tofu and enoki one. It was so crispy and delicious. Would definitely be back!!
This is a Chinese noodle soup restaurant that specializes in potato noodles. It's a cozy restaurant so if it gets busy, prepare for a wait. Service is friendly and attentive. To see the menu and place your order, scan the QR code at your table. I had some technical issues when ordering where the items would remove themselves from the cart, so I had to ask the staff for help. They helped me order from their ipad so it was pretty easy. Overall, highly recommended as the noodles had great flavor and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. When you pick a soup, you also select the soup base (mala, spicy, non-spicy, or tomato) and noodles (potato, knife cut, or both). I tried both types of noodles and they were good. I prefer fat chewy noodles so it wasn't a surprise that I prefer the knife cut version. The potato noodles are the ones that look like udon. Soup base: tomato had great flavor, spicy was okay, mala isn't super mala so you won't die. Tripe: These came on skewers and it was pretty good. Parking Tip: Don't leave anything valuable visible in your car. While eating, someone's car got broken into where a backpack, left visible on the passenger seat, was stolen. Hide your things, stay safe, and save your monies for the food and not window repairs.
